Thames Water is pinning its hopes on a new app to help its engineers deal with blocked sewers, flooding and pollution across Surrey and South West London.

Once downloaded residents can use the app to report problems and upload information including photos and video.

They can also provide the location on an interactive map.

The firm says that customers who report problems can receive progress alerts and updates on how engineers are fixing them.
