It was built and donated by the construction firm Rockwell, who are currently re-developing the old Curry’s PC World site on the Hurlingham waterfront.
The playground is run by local charity SEAPIA, who provide low-cost play and childcare provisions for children aged 4 to 13.
The new play area will allow any of the 240 children who visit the charity to continue playing outside in the autumn and winter months.
