People are being urged to check ATMs before use, cover their PIN and avoid using machines that appear unusual.
The force says users should keep their cards secure, monitor bank accounts and report any suspicious activity.
Anyone who notices a problem with a cash machine should contact the bank or call Surrey Police on 101.
