Surrey County Council is to review the plan responsible for around 2,000 miles of public rights of way in the county.

A public right of way is a path that anyone, by law, has the right to use and they are located both in countryside and urban areas.

There are four types including Byways for all motorised vehicles and Bridleways for horse riding and walking.

Surrey County Council says its current Rights of Way Improvement Plan dates from 2014 and needs to be reviewed.
