Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a 14-inch main that had ruptured in Richmond Hill.
They installed flood barriers over the course of 4 hours and also used around 50 sandbags to divert surface water away from homes.
Water was filmed gushing down the road at around 10pm on Sunday.
