It will offer improved access to services for approximately 180 people living with the disease in SW London and Surrey.

Motor Neurone Disease happens when cells in the brain and nerves, called motor neurones, gradually stop working.

It’s not known why this happens.

The network will also see an MND Care Co-Ordinator, based at St George’s Hospital, become the single point of contact for people with MND, ensuring a joined-up approach to individual care plans and signposting to extra support for them and their loved ones.
