Residents in Hersham are campaigning against the erection of a new six-storey building at Hersham Green Shopping Centre.

The redevelopment would see part demolition and refurbishment to the shopping centre, with parking spaces being heavily reduced.

2200 people have signed a petition on change.org titled “SAVE HERSHAM CENTRE” declaring opposition to the redevelopment.

A decision for the proposal is set for the 18th of June, with the consultation date coming up on the 26th of April.
