Residents are claiming a long-awaited animal crossing has been installed in the wrong place by Sutton Council.

The Carshalton Ponds area has become a hotspot for bird related deaths due to the busy A232.

Local activists set up a campaign for the installation of signs warning vehicles of nearby ducks and swans.

After a two and a half year wait one of the signs ended upon the wrong side of the road. The Council says it will set up a review.
