Family members claim doctors treating Carla, from Feltham, have failed to provide appropriate treatment for her condition.

Carla’s family were joined by supporters from the group Chronic Collaboration outside the hospital.

They say her condition means Carla cannot eat, tolerate light or sound and is dangerously ill.

But despite a diagnosis of ME they claim she’s not being treated according to NHS guidelines.

The group says its action has been inspired by a similar recent protest at a Lancaster hospital over the treatment of 18 year-old Millie McAinsh, who also has ME.

We have received this statement from the West Middlesex Hospital which is part of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

“While we cannot disclosure any patient information or individual care plan, we are committed to providing the best care and support for all patients. Our staff are committed to following NHS and NICE guidelines throughout the care we provide.”
