The technology is used to depict criminals by the live system cameras capturing people’s faces in town centres.
The software will automatically delete the images captured of people’s faces that it doesn’t recognise.
Officers, with the cameras attached, will stop criminals who are recognised.
During the first day of trialling, six people were arrested.
