Plans have been submitted to Lambeth Council to turn historic Streatham Hill Theatre into a Church.

The Grade II listed site was built in 1928 before being turned into a bingo hall in the 60s and finally closing in 2017.

Conservation group, The Friends of Streatham Hill Theatre, says the application is contrary to the policies of the Lambeth Local Plan.

People have until May the 22nd to comment on Ruach City Church’s plans via Lambeth Council’s website.
