People in Chertsey have raised concerns about crime at a public meeting.

It was hosted by Surrey’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Lisa Townsend.

The role of PCCs nationwide will be abolished in May 2028 at the end of their current electoral term under new government changes.

Ms Townsend says Surrey Police is working to reduce anti-social behaviour, shoplifting and burglary across areas like Chertsey.
