People in Chertsey and other areas of Surrey affected by flooding from Storm Henk could soon be eligible for government funding.

Around 50 properties in the county are known to have been damaged at the start of January.

Grants being made available include up to £500 in cash to help with immediate costs and 100% business rate relief for at least 3 months.

Those eligible for support must meet the set criteria which includes the council deeming the affected property uninhabitable.
