This year marks 80 years since the Derby returned to Epsom Downs following World War II.
But race goers are being warned of a plethora of roadworks that may affect their chances of getting to the world-famous event on time.
The most time-consuming issue is the A3 which has one lane closed southbound between New Malden and Tolworth until the end of July.
There are also ongoing roadworks on Leatherhead Road with roads around Epsom Downs expected to be busy from 11am onwards.
A shuttle bus is operating from Epsom Station across today.
