Merton has launched its bid to become London Borough of Culture 2027.

The council is putting together a plan which it says will put Merton on the map, alongside previous winners like Brent and Lewisham.

Launched in 2017, the Mayor of London’s Borough of Culture award aims to celebrate different parts of the capital.

Croydon is this year’s London Borough of Culture.
