The plans are in response to bikes being inconsiderately parked and blocking pedestrian access particularly for those with wheelchairs.
E-bike parking is currently “free floating” in Merton which means users can leave them in “safe” locations.
But the authority says this will end and is in the process of identifying 300 designated bays which will provide space for 2,400 e-bikes.
