Lambeth Council says it is working with LGBTQ+ venues to improve safety following two homophobic attacks in the borough.

Two men were attacked with a knife outside the Two Brewers in Clapham High Street last month.

Just over a week later, a couple were injured in another homophobic attack in Brixton while they waited for a bus.

The council’s own public protection officers have been out on the streets alongside the Met Police who are leading the investigations.
