The authority says it wants to recruit, train and retain “outstanding” social workers in the children’s care sector.
Training will be targeted to ensure families receive the support they need while providing job opportunities for people in the borough.
Ofsted rated the council’s Children’s Services as ‘requires improvement to be good’ after an inspection in December.
