Improvements to Weybridge town centre will no longer go ahead in January as planned.

Surrey County Council says it is disappointed that stakeholders have pulled out of the project.

The programme of works, designed to increase pedestrian safety in Church Street and the town centre, included pavement widening.

Designs for the scheme were developed over a number of years and went through a number of rounds of public consultation.
