Hounslow Council is bringing back card machines for parking after some said contactless payments made them feel excluded.

A 6-month trial will start in the new year after the authority removed the ability to pay by cash in 2016.

The card terminals will allow users to enter their vehicle registration to validate their session at the correct tariff.

They can also accommodate 30 minutes free parking sessions at stop and shop locations as well as emissions-based charging.
