Heathrow says it’s had its busiest ever start to a year, with 40 million passengers passing through the airport in the first six months.

The airport also says new security scanners are improving the passenger experience, allowing liquids and laptops to stay in luggage.

It’s also continuing plans for a third runway, which Heathrow says could create jobs and boost the economy.

However, the expansion remains subject to Government approval and further discussions about the airport’s future.
