Hammersmith and Fulham Council says residents have saved more than £80,000 by borrowing from its “Library of Things.”

The hub for household gadgets and DIY tools has helped cut more than 15 tonnes of waste since its launch in June last year.

It’s received more than 100 visitors and had 200 items borrowed.

The council says the Hammersmith site has become the most popular library of its kind anywhere in the country.
