Hammersmith and Fulham Council has signed up to a new scheme which pledges to switch council vans to cargo bikes where possible

‘Cargo Bike Charter’ swaps diesel vans for pedal power to make deliveries around the borough.

‘Cargo Revolution’ wants to switch to bikes for services such as litter cleaning, keeping parks tidy, and maintenance to council estates.

They estimate this could save the council £660 million, as well as help the UK meet its obligations to reduce air pollution.
