Glam rock pioneer, Marc Bolan is among the iconic stars being honoured with a blue plaque this year.

The English Heritage scheme recognises figures from the arts who helped shape the cultural fabric of England’s capital.

The T Rex frontman grew up in Leatherhead, but its house in West London where the plaque will be installed.

Bolan died at the age of 29 as Jackie’s Lucy Mayer explains.
