Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust have been promised funding to build a new emergency care hospital in Sutton.

The hospital is projected to be completed by 2030 and will enable improvements on the quality of services for local communities.

It will also be beneficial to the NHS staff as the workforce is currently stretched across both Epsom and St Helier hospitals.

The trust is calling this a “once in a lifetime opportunity” with upgrades also happening at Epsom’s and St Helier’s sites.
