Epsom and Ewell police have received public criticism after a viral video online shows a police van unattended on a double yellow line.

In the video, a man criticised the two sergeants and an officer for leaving the engine running whilst seizing stolen bicycles.

It then shows the man getting arrested after failing to comply with “Section 50” of giving his name and address.

The video, uploaded yesterday by YouTube channel “Auditing Britain”, has received over 100 thousand views.

Epsom and Ewell Police have released a statement reading:

“We are reviewing the content of this video and have referred it to our Professional Standards Department.”
