Elmbridge Mencap is to be handed £25,000 over the next five years to support day services at its base in Hersham.

The charity, which was established 50 years ago, supports children and adults with learning disabilities.

Its current centre was opened in 2000 but the day service only launched 2 years ago.

The council says it has grown “exponentially” over the last 15 months.
