49 year old Basilio Dos Santos Antonio was found dead inside a residential property on Glenister Park Road on the evening of Sunday, the 25th of February.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, who is leading the investigation, said: “Basilio, who was originally from Brazil, had been in the UK for a number of years and worked as a cleaner.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends as they continue to come to terms with their loss.”

Two people have been charged in connection with Basilio’s death:

They were also charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life.

A trial date has been set for January 2025.

An investigation was launched after police were called to a multi-occupancy house on Glenister Park Road by the London Fire Brigade.

Basilio Dos Santos Antonio was found dead inside the property.

His next of kin were informed and continue to be supported by family liaison officers.
