Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage was left apologising to the club’s supporters after they were thrashed 5-nil by Brighton in the Premier League.

It was their worst defeat against their rivals since 1956.

The result has led to questions about Sage’s future, but he’s not been told how much time he has to get things right.
