Croydon is gearing up to celebrate the 60th anniversary of a string of sell out gigs by The Beatles in the town.

The Fairfield Halls is an historic venue for fans as John, Paul, George and Ringo famously played there at the height of Beatlemania.

They performed to sell out audiences in September 1963.

To celebrate, tribute act The Mersey Beatles will play their own gig on the 10th of September.
