Croydon Council is in the process of finalising its new “Local Plan.”

The 2018 one is being revised due to “rise to the challenges facing the borough over the next 20 years” according to the council.

The main issue is how housing needs will be met while protecting the character of the borough.

All intensification areas have been removed in the latest review.

It has also been updated to address Houses in Multiple Occupation.

A new policy added in is designed to ensure any such accommodation is of a high standard of living and not negatively impacting other properties.

Residents are being urged to take part in the six-week public consultation which ends on August the 12th.
