College Square in Croydon has been “transformed” with a new pavement artwork celebrating the borough’s architecture.

The piece, called Croydon Compass, has been created by students from Croydon College alongside professional artists.

The Home Office-funded project aims to help prevent young people becoming involved in crime by boosting community connections.

The council says it’s also been designed to make the town centre more welcoming and nurture young people’s creative skills.
