Children fleeing domestic violence in Clapham and Streatham are to be handed emergency care backpacks.

Lambeth Council is working with The Buddy Bag Foundation to provide the packages.

Each one contains pyjamas, underwear, and toiletries, plus comfort items such as a book and a teddy bear.

The programme aims to provide a meaningful source of comfort to little ones who suddenly have to leave their family home.
