Manchester City maintained their 100 percent start with a 4-1 win at Aston Villa.

Arsenal were held to a goalless draw by newly-promoted Crystal Palace, while Liverpool drew 1-all with Tottenham.

Charlton lost 1-nil at Everton, and Birmingham drew 2-all with Brighton.
