It is collaborating with the world-renowned charity International Cat Care which changes the approach to cat rehoming.
Battersea’s three-year grant includes plans to deliver veterinary training around key subjects including neutering and shelter medicine.
They hope to also bring together experts and organisations to tackle cat population management together more effectively.
