An advanced type of radiotherapy could lessen the urinary and sexual side effects of prostate cancer.
That’s according to new research from the PACE-A trial at the Royal Marsden in Chelsea.
SBRT uses a robotic arm to deliver radiotherapy with pinpoint accuracy; there are two of these machines at The Marsden.
The trial looked at the advantages of using this type of radiothearpay over surgery on patients with early stage prostate cancer.
