Firefighters were called to Wimbledon Hill Road just before 7:30am to a double-decker which was alight outside The Alex Pub.
Another electric bus caught fire on Friday in Woolwich, which is said to be “unrelated”.
TfL says it is working with operator, London General, and the bus manufacturer, Switch, to investigate what happened.
