Airlines have cancelled just over 13-thousand flights this month as jet fuel costs soar due to the Iran war.

The data, from analytics firm Cirium, suggests it equates to around two million seats lost.

Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester are among the British airports to have announced cancellations.

Airlines will be allowed to move passengers onto less-busy flights, under government plans to protect summer holidays.
