The ASA objected to claims that most deaths linked to air pollution were in outer London, and the scheme had halved levels of nitrogen dioxide.
The complainants challenged whether the claim “According to research, one of the most polluted places in London is inside your car” was misleading and could be substantiated.
Transport for London says it’s disappointed, arguing the ruling was based on “minor technical” points.
