70 year old Malcolm Knight lost his wife Ruth in December, three months after she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.
This Saturday, ahead of what would have been her 70th, he’s aiming to complete 7 rows of 7km each to raise money for Leukaemia UK.
He’ll be rowing in the boat he gained his first world record 36 years ago – rowing the 185 miles of the River Thames in 39 ½ hours.
