Rebecca Ruddle, Centre Director at Southside Shopping Centre, commented: “We’re delighted to be supporting the work of emerging artists in the borough and provide them with a canvas to showcase their talent and leave their mark in Wandsworth.

“Southside plays a key role at the heart of Wandsworth and truly reflects the local community in everything we do – which is why we’re searching for a local artist who can capture the essence of our community in their design. We’re looking for something that resonates with our residents and guests and brings joy and pride to all who encounter it.”

The closing date for artists to submit their expression of interest is midnight on Monday, the 29th of April.

Shortlisted artists will each receive £700 to submit a proposed mock-up of their work with a detailed plan for implementation.

The successful artist will be announced on Monday, the 29th of July, with the work expected to be installed in the Autumn.
