Burlington Junior School first won permission from Kingston Council back in 2022 and works only finished this April.

The expansion has taken the school’s capacity from 480 to 600 pupils across years 3 to 6.

But the school had to build on its play area in order to increase in size.

Now, it wants to change the use of land at neighbouring Hobkirk House, a former care Home, to create extra playing fields.

It’s been agreed Hobkirk House can be demolished to make way.
