A police officer who fatally shot 24-year-old Chris Kaba has told a court he thought there was an “imminent threat to life”.

Martyn Blake, who denies murder, says the Audi Mr Kaba was driving moved forwards and backwards as officers surrounded it in Streatham in September 2022.

Speaking for the first time at his trial, he said he could hear the wheels of the car spinning, and the engine revving, before firing his gun.
