It’s been undertaken by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue.

The report concluded the force has seen a decline in performance across a few key areas since it was last inspected in 2021.

The force has been rated “inadequate” when it comes to responding to the public.

It “requires improvement” for data recording and developing a positive workplace.

But it has been rated “good” at preventing crime and managing offenders.

Surrey’s new Chief Constable, Tim De Meyer, says the issues are already known to the force and are being taken “very seriously.”
