Acting Sergeant Rachel Bright was attached to the South West Command Unit when the incident was reported in December 2022.
While off-duty, it was alleged she repeatedly demonstrated inappropriate behaviour towards a woman known to her.
An investigation was launched and Acting Sgt Bright was suspended from duty after being charged with one count of sexual assault.
She was found not guilty at a trial in October 2024.
But the Met continued with a separate misconduct investigation and ruled she should face a misconduct hearing.
The panel has now found the allegations “proven.”
It determined that Acting Sgt Bright had breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct.
