It happened last Thursday at around 9:20pm on the A25 junction of Shrewsbury Road and Hatchlands Road.
It was reported that he was attacked by a group of people and then assisted by members of the public.
Surrey Police are appealing for anyone who has any information on this to contact them on 101.
