A man from Wandsworth who was spotted by a fellow train passenger viewing indecent images of children on his phone has been jailed.

35-year-old David Johnson has been sentenced to two years and three months after pleading guilty to six charges against him.

He was also handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years and must also sign the sex offender register for 10 years.

He was arrested in September last year as he got off a train at Euston station having been reported to police by the fellow passenger.

The phone seized during his arrest was found to contain nearly 200 indecent images of children, of which 105 were classified as “severe.”
