James Thomson’s song Shacklegate Lane Allotments has been created with the hope of saving the 120-year-old site.
James says hearing the stories of the allotment holders led to his decision to get involved in their campaign.
Nearly 1,700 residents have signed a petition opposing Richmond Council’s plans to turn the allotments into a cemetery.
But a recent report has revealed that London is fast running out of burial space.
The council says the allotments holders will be offered an alternative space and there must be sufficient places for people to be able to be buried.
