35 year old Roman Scott has been sentenced to six months’ in prison having been found guilty of five counts of Exposure.
He was also handed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that bars him from sitting next to or opposite unknown women, and he’ll be on the sex offenders register for a decade.
The court heard how, on Sunday, the 14th of December 2025 at just after 11pm, Scott boarded a train at London Victoria railway station and sat near a couple of women.
He then exposed himself and masturbated before being removed from the train by other passengers.
The following morning, just before midday, Scott was on a train from Southampton to Bournemouth when again he sat near to several women and exposed himself and masturbated.
At around 2pm the same day, once the train arrived in Bournemouth, Scott went to the ladies’ toilets and exposed himself to a woman.
He then boarded a train to Manchester, where he sat down next to a young woman, blocking her in, and started masturbating. The young woman and passengers reported the incident to the guard on the train.
Scott then exposed himself to another woman, making further sexual advances.
As she walked away, Scott followed her down the train and blocked her way, forcing her to push past him to escape.
He then sat down and passed out, and rail staff on the train confirmed that Scott was the same man that had been in the ladies’ toilets in Bournemouth
His behaviour was reported to BTP, and officers arrived at the station, finding Scott on the train asleep while still exposing himself. He was promptly arrested and taken into custody.
In interview with police, Scott claimed that it was accidental and that his behaviour could be explained by the fact he was drunk and that, “drinking just gets the better of me sometimes.”
BTP Detective Constable Ewen Roberts said: “Scott acted appallingly and disgustingly towards a number of women in such a short period of time, repeatedly subjecting them to horrific ordeals for his own sexual gratification.
“There is no place for sexual offending on the railway network, and never any excuse for the sort of behaviour Scott displayed. I am pleased to see him brought to account for his actions including time in prison and strict conditions he will have to follow for a decade when he’s released.
“We take sexual offending reports extremely seriously, and no report is too small or too trivial. If you’ve been the victim of a sexual offence on the railway network, you can discreetly text us on 61016 so that we can provide support to you and secure the justice you deserve.”
