60-year-old Robert Sabat pleaded guilty to murdering Dickiesa Nurse and was sentenced at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
Police were called to her home in Tulse Hill in October last year, where she was found with fatal injuries.
Sabat threatened paramedics with a knife before being tasered and arrested by armed officers.
